It has a cable that drives the shifting instead of the hard linkage that is there now. The cable kit is the more user friendly purchase and retains the factory shift lever. WebFeb 25, 2011 · I order 2 Novak SK2XC shifter cable kits. I just got the one in the 99, it took about 4 hours with wrestling with rusty bolts and crap but all in all a fairly easy install. No more rattle and it shifts like butter and stays in gear !! I can't wait to get to work on the 06 now. I would recommended this kit to anyone. Save Share Reply
